Educational Trip to G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (04-12-23)

On December 3, 2023, in celebration of Agriculture Education Day, coinciding with the birthday of India's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology organized a three-day Agriculture Education Fair. The objective was to provide students with profound insights into the rich history and remarkable achievements of the university, fostering a deeper appreciation for the field of agriculture.

The opening ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. S.K. Kashyap, the esteemed dean of the university. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Dhyani, Dr. Ratna Rani, Dr. Manisha Rani, and Dr. Amman Kanosh, shared valuable insights into the university's historical significance as the first agricultural university in India. They emphasized its role in shaping the Green Revolution and proudly highlighted its possession of the largest library in Asia.

A Legacy of Excellence:
The university's rich history unfolded during the exhibition, with Ms. Prachi Padhiar, Group 4 coordinator, elaborating on its numerous awards and achievements. Notably, the university clinched the Governor's Best University Award three times consecutively from 2016 to 2018. Dean HW Hannah of the University of Illinois played a pivotal role in these prestigious accolades, contributing to the university's legacy of excellence.

Innovations and Entrepreneurship:
The exhibition also showcased 54 women entrepreneurs and their impactful startups. These innovative ventures, including SaRa Craft, Hym-Grace, Eco Serve, and Name Sake, demonstrated the university's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and contributing positively to the country's development.

Academic Landscape:
Following the exhibition, a quiz session engaged students in testing their knowledge about the university and general awareness. The subsequent 3D presentation provided an immersive journey through the university's academic landscape, illustrating diverse activities from cutting-edge robotics to groundbreaking work in genetics.

A Visual Chronicle in the Museum:
The museum visit was a visual chronicle of the university's journey, featuring tall and striking displays illustrating its history and achievements. The museum highlighted how the university has consistently stood out in the academic realm, achieving remarkable milestones over the years.

In conclusion, the day culminated with memorable pictures, a delectable buffet, and a profound sense of inspiration and motivation. The Agriculture Education Day at G. B. Pant University transcended being a mere event; it served as an educational odyssey, instilling a lasting impact on all participants and fostering a deeper appreciation for the remarkable legacy of this esteemed institution.
